The following is a summary of incidents in Bethesda to which Montgomery County police responded recently. The words "arrested" and "charged" do not imply guilt.

2nd District

Robbery

* On Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. at Democracy Boulevard and Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda. The robber threatened the victim and obtained property. The robber was described as a black man, 35-40, wearing a black trench coat, do-rag, glasses.

Armed robbery

* On Dec. 26 at 7 p.m. in the 5100 block of Newport Avenue in Bethesda. Two robbers threatened the victim with a weapon and obtained property. The robbers were described as black men, 20-25, 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, 150-175 pounds, black hat covering face.

Theft

* Between Dec. 27 and Dec. 30 in the 4500 block of Wetherill Road in Bethesda. Property taken from outside the residence.

* Between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 8000 block of Hampden Lane in Bethesda. Property taken from outside the residence.

* At approximately 1:30 p.m. Dec. 29 in the 3200 block of Moorland Lane in Bethesda. Property was taken from outside the residence.

Vehicle larceny

* Friendship Heights area of Chevy Chase, between Dec. 26 and Dec. 30. Five unlocked vehicles were entered, cash, jewelry, laptop taken.

Residential burglary

* 4500 block of Rosedale Avenue in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Attempted forced entry.

* 4500 block of Middleton Lane in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Forced entry.

* 4600 block of Chase Avenue in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Forced entry.

* Unit block of Kentbury Way in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Forced entry.

* 4300 block of Sleaford Road .in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Garage door unlocked.

* 4600 block of Harling Lane in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Rear window unlocked.

* 7900 block of Kentbury Drive in Chevy Chase, between Dec. 30 and Jan. 1. Rear window unlocked.

* 10200 block of Oldfield Drive in Kensington at 3:45 p.m. Jan. 3. Attempted forced entry, nothing taken.

* 6600 block of Landon Lane at approximately noon. Dec. 30. Forced entry, nothing taken. The burglar was described as a black male, 30-40, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall, 250-300 pounds, short dark hair.

* 9800 block of Singlet Drive in Bethesda, between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Jan. 3. Forced entry, property taken.

* 5100 block of Bangor Drive in Kensington, at 1:30 p.m. Dec. 28. Forced entry, property taken. Three males, 16-19, from Culpepper, Va., were arrested.

* 5200 block of Flanders Avenue in North Bethesda, at 4:20 p.m. Jan. 3. Forced entry, nothing taken.
