Suitland 71, Bladensburg 60
Suitland built a 10-point lead by the end of the first quarter, but only outscored Bladensburg by one point the rest of the way. The Mustangs (2-6) had no answer for Suitland standout guard Roddy Peters, who hit 11 shots from the floor and scored a game-high 30 points. Daquan Page added 12 and Dwayne Clinton had 10 for the Rams (6-2). Michael Jones led Bladensburg with 24 points, 21 of which came on seven 3-pointers. Ruben Tucker added 14 for Bladensburg.
Bowie 58, Wise 56
The Bulldogs improved to 7-2 as they outlasted Wise in a tightly contested game in Upper Marlboro. Wise led 14-9 at the end of the first quarter, but Bowie outscored the Pumas 36-29 over the next two periods before the teams each scored 13 in the fourth quarter. Shakir Stocks hit four 3-pointers and led Bowie with 16 points. Maceio Choice added 13 points. Jalen Robinson had nine points and 15 rebounds in his second game back at Bowie after transferring from DuVal. Robinson played for Bowie's junior varsity team last year, and was a late-season call-up to the varsity team, scoring 12 points in a playoff win against Oxon Hill. He averaged 15 points per game through four games at DuVal in December before transferring back to Bowie. Wayne Langston led Wise (4-5) with 23 points. Chris Thompson had 11 and James Palmer added 10 for the Pumas.
DuVal 86, Parkdale 61
The Tigers improved to 7-2 as John Monkam led the way with 23 points. Kevin Kuteyi had 17 for DuVal, while Charles Ekanyanwu added 15 and Mallin Sellers had 12. Charles Cooley led Parkdale (1-9) with 19 points, including three 3-pointers.
Roosevelt 74, Northwestern 52
Roosevelt (7-2) trailed 15-13 at the end of the first quarter and had a 30-27 lead at halftime. But the Raiders pulled away in the second half, outscoring Northwestern (2-7) by a 24-9 margin in the fourth quarter. Chaun Miller led Roosevelt with 20 points, and Trevor Evans had 18. Each of them hit four 3-pointers. Tiwain Kendley had 13 points for Roosevelt. Clayton Higginbottom and Jovan Shipp each had 12 points for Northwestern, and Chris Moore added 10.
Oxon Hill 82, Laurel 71
Oxon Hill jumped out to a 20-4 lead at the end of the first quarter, but the teams each scored 24 points in the second quarter, and the Spartans climbed back into the game by outscoring the Clippers 23-13 in the third period. Oxon Hill oustscored Laurel by five over the last eight minutes. Gary Stewart led the Clippers (4-4) with 23 points. Magic Harris added 16 points, Monte Artis had 13 points and eight rebounds, Alex Long had 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Myron Fogle had 10 points. Adrian Rousseau had 28 points to lead Laurel (1-7), and Brandon Roberson added 19.
Douglass 61, Forestville 47
Saquan Epps-Walker led the Eagles (5-4) with 19 points. Marvis Davies added 14 points and Jasahn Johnson had 13.
Riverdale Baptist 74, Coppin Academy 56
The Crusaders won their 10th in a row and improved to 16-2, led by 13 points and 14 rebounds from Brandon Peel. De'von Barnett had 11 points and nine rebounds and Marquis Powell also had 11 points. Khari Doby had six points and 10 rebounds for Riverdale Baptist.
Washington Christian 49, Clinton Christian 42
Clinton Christian led 30-29 at the end of the third quarter, but Washington Christian owned a 20-12 advantage in the fourth period. Terrence Jackson led Clinton Christian (4-7) with 18 points, and Steven Holloman added 10.
St. John's 76, McNamara 38
St. John's led 22-8 at the end of the first quarter and 41-16 at halftime. Stephan Jiggetts led McNamara (7-8) with 11 points. Sean Beins had 12 to lead St. John's (8-7).
Pallotti 73, Curley 17
Jordan Preston led 12 different players who scored for Pallotti with 10 points and five rebounds. The Panthers (12-5) led 12-2 at the end of the first quarter and 42-8 at halftime.
