Crossway Community, an educational nonprofit in Kensington, is hosting a lecture on Montessori education Dec. 7.

The discussion will be led by Steven Hughes, chair of the Association Montessori Internationale Global Research Committee, founded by Maria Montessori, whose teaching style provided the foundation for Montessori education.

Crossway Community, in addition to providing parenting resources, also operates the Crossway Montessori Programs, a Montessori school for children 6 years old and younger.

Tickets for this event cost $20. It is scheduled to run from 7 to 9 p.m. Dec. 7.

Crossway Community Center is located at 3015 Upton Road in Kensington.
