The community is invited to attend a meeting to discuss the lack of youth activities in Olney’s town center.

The Olney Town Center Advisory Group will discuss the issue at its Nov. 29 meeting, 7:30 p.m. at the Olney Community Room of the Buffington Re-max Building, 2200 Olney-Sandy Spring Road.

The discussion will feature councilmembers Craig Rice and Nancy Navarro along with and other area youth organization leaders.

OTCAC Chairman Bob Beard said that members will share the organization’s long-term vision of a civic center/town commons and solicit community input on needs for a multipurpose facility. They also will request Capital Improvement Project funds from elected representatives for such a public/private partnership facility and brainstorm short-term solutions.
