Senior

Eng led the county in stroke average (36 for nine holes) and finished tied for third at the two-day 4A-3A state meet, finishing four strokes out of first place.

Coach of the Year

Karl O’Donoghue

Walt Whitman

O’Donoghue, in his eighth year, guided the Vikings to the district championship and to a second-place finish at the 4A-3A state meet behind three-time champion Urbana.

First team

Phillip Ahn

Winston Churchill

Senior

Ahn’s accomplishments this fall include capturing the MCRA Invitational as well as placing tied for third in stroke average and fourth at districts.

Andrew Barth

Walt Whitman

Sophomore

This steady golfer complemented Eng by tying for sixth place at the state meet and seventh at the district meet while also taking second at the MCRA Invitational through a match of cards.

Nathan Tenpas

Bethesda-Chevy Chase

Sophomore

The runner-up at the district meet, Tenpas tied for 15th at the 4A-3A state meet and tied for third in stroke average to follow up a strong freshman campaign.
