A mental health initiative for active military service members, veterans and their families launches in Montgomery County next week.

The program aims to coordinate organizations that offer resources for the county's military community and is a partnership between the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County and Easter Seals Greater Washington-Baltimore Region.

The initiative is made possible by a four-year, $500,000 matching grant from the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation.

County Executive Isiah Leggett (D) and other officials will hold a news conference introducing the program at 11 a.m. Monday at the Rockville Memorial Library, 21 Maryland Ave., 2nd floor conference room, Rockville.
