The American Nurses Credentialing Center of Silver Spring named David W. Wright a director. Wright is co-founder of the Institute for Interactive Patient Care and chief outcomes officer for GetWellNetwork, both in Bethesda.

GenVec of Gaithersburg named Adel A.F. Mahmoud and Edward M. Connor directors. Mahmoud is a professor in Princeton University’s department of molecular biology; previously, he was chief medical adviser, vaccines and infectious diseases, for Merck & Co. Connor is director, Office of Innovation Development and Investigational Therapeutics at Children's National Medical Center and a professor at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences; previously he was chief medical officer and executive vice president of MedImmune.
