Previously, Ramalho was global communications director for General Electric's Water and Process Technologies business and also worked for American Water and Siemens.

Dr. Richard Binder, a board member of Montgomery Hospice in Rockville, was named by President Barack Obama to the Advisory Group on Prevention, Health Promotion, and Integrative and Public Health. Binder is medical director at McKesson/US Oncology of The Woodlands, Texas, and a professor at Virginia Commonwealth University and Georgetown University School of Medicine.

The Washington Group of Bethesda named Rob Klingensmith senior vice president and Christie Judith director of development. Previously, Klingensmith was vice president and senior relationship manager for premier corporate and professional services in the mid-Atlantic with HSBC. Judith was an associate financial adviser and representative with Northwestern Mutual.

CB Richard Ellis named Daniel M. McGivney a senior associate in its Bethesda office. Previously, was an associate director with Cushman & Wakefield and a research analyst with CB Richard Ellis.

Bates Creative Group of Silver Spring named Heather Shelton director of business development; Ozgur Coruhlu a Web designer and developer; and Jeff Caporizzo creative director. Previously, Shelton was field marketing manager at Paychex and East Coast regional sales manager at NetworkOmni. Coruhlu was art director at Creative Manner Design Studio. Previously, Unger was executive vice president and COO. Earlier, he was executive vice president and group executive for the retail bank at the Bank of Baltimore and executive vice president at Maryland National Leasing Corp.
