Two men are in Prince George’s County police custody, charged in the May 30 double homicide of two men found shot dead in a car in Capitol Heights.
Police arrested Kenan Arnon Seif Myers, 24, of the 5400 block of Addison Road in Fairmount Heights, and Brian Mayhew, 19, of the 2400 block of Corning Avenue in Fort Washington on Tuesday. Both are charged in the deaths of Sean O’Neil Ellis, 24, of the 1900 block of Colette Terrace in District Heights, and Anthony Stevens McKelvin, 28, of the 4200 block of Suitland Road in Suitland. Both Ellis and McKelvin were found dead from upper body gunshot wounds inside a vehicle in the 1300 block of Rollins Avenue, police said.
Information about how the four men knew each other was unavailable as of press time, said Cpl. Mike Rodriguez, a county police spokesman. The owner of the car where the men were found dead also was not immediately available.
Both Mayhew and Myers are charged with first- and second degree murder and first- and second-degree assault, according to court records. Both were sent to the Department of Corrections in Upper Marlboro on a no bond status according to county police. No attorney was listed for either man.
Trial dates are scheduled for 8:45 a.m. July 6 for Mayhew and Myers, according to online court records.
