Skate parks

Mount Airy Skateboard Park

Open March 1 to Oct. 30, weather permitting. 3-8 p.m. Monday through Friday during school year; 12-8 p.m. Saturday; 1-6 p.m. Sunday; noon-8 p.m. Monday through Friday; 9 a.m.-8p.m. Saturday; 1-6 p.m. Sunday during summer. Fees: One-day pass, town residents and nonresidents, $3. Season pass, town residents $60, nonresidents $80.

Sports Associations

Four County Little League

Purpose: To provide a supervised program of baseball and softball instruction and games for children between the ages of 4 and 16 under the rules and policies of Little League Baseball, Inc.

Freedom Area Recreation Council
Purpose: To organize recreation programs such as basketball, aerobics, soccer, tae kwon-do, dance, softball baseball, football, cheerleading, horseback riding, volleyball, and lacrosse for community members.

Linganore Urbana Youth Athletic Associatin (LUYAA)
Purpose: To offer both intramural and competitive level year round sports programs such as baseball, field hockey, golf, indoor and outdoor soccer, softball, lacrosse, cheerleading, pom pons, basketball, and wrestling to all interested youth in Southeastern Frederick County, Maryland.

Mount Airy Youth Athletic Association
Purpose: To offer a variety of intramural and travel sports programs to kids from 4-18 years of age, including baseball, basketball, cheerleading, football, lacrosse, soccer, softball, and wrestling.

South Carroll Soccer Club
Purpose: To offers boys and girls ages 8-15 the opportunity for competitive soccer experiences in southern Carroll County.

Winfield Recreation Council
Purpose: To provide a variety of sports and other recreational outlets to community members.

Woodbine Recreation Council
Purpose: To provide a variety of activities including ballet, tap dancing, womenís and menís softball, basketball, karate, tai chi, volleyball, and yoga to community members.
