Frederick County -- Legislators

Most state officials, including the governor and members of the General Assembly, are elected to four-year terms. The next election for state officials is in 2014.
The General Assembly, consisting of the state Senate and the Hose of Delegates, begins its 90-day session on the second Wednesday in January in Annapolis (although some legislative committees meet at other times during the year).
Members of the U.S. House of Representatives are elected every two years. The next general election is scheduled for November 2014. Members of the U.S. Senate are elected every six years.
