I have covered everything from field hockey to football to baseball to gymnastics and basketball and wrestling to everything in between for The Gazette since the late 1990s and I have been in the area as a sports writer since 1995 overall. During that time, my life has been enriched with many friendships at The Gazette and through my contact with the many players, coaches and athletic directors that have come across in my weekly travels to games. Even more important during that time was the birth of my two children, my daughter Avery and my son Owen, who I love more than life itself. I received two Media Person of the Year awards from the Maryland State Association of Baseball Coaches in 2003 and 2006.
