I’m a native of Montgomery County and have lived here nearly all of my life, except for studying at the University of Florida and a brief stint as a photographer at the Perry News Herald in the early 1980’s. I graduated from both Montgomery College and Damascus High School. A staff photographer with The Gazette since 1987, I previously worked at The Frederick News-Post from 1984-87. In my 25-year career at The Gazette, I have often been asked to speak at career days at a number of local schools, which I feel is a great opportunity to connect with the community. My wife, Becky, and I live in the Woodfield area of Damascus. In my spare time, I am an active member of Wesley Grove United Methodist Church, volunteer with Damascus HELP at the local food pantry, enjoy golfing and can frequently be spotted in the crowd at both Orioles and Nationals games.
