Celebrate Women's History Month with a visit to Oxon Cove Park. Learn about Dorothea Dix, whose progressive ideas about the humane treatment of people with mental illness led to the founding of St. Elizabeth's Hospital. Take a ranger-led walk and learn about the therapeutic treatment of the patients who worked on Godding Croft, the hospital farm which operated on Oxon Cove Park's property from 1891-1967. For adults, and children ages 10 and up. No fee. Meet at the Visitor Barn.
