The Fairfax Symphony, conducted by Christopher Zimmerman, presents its debut performance in George Mason University’s Harris Theater with a program that highlights two works by Benjamin Britten in the 100th anniversary season of his birth. Featured artists include tenor William Hite and the FSO’s own principal horn, Eric Moore. The performance includes a symphony by Britten’s friend and artistic kindred spirit, Shostakovich, and Elgar’s Serenade for Strings.
