Mary Tamaki Murakami will speak on the internment of people of Japanese heritage during World War II. Ms. Murakami was incarcerated at Tanforan Race Tracks and then sent to the permanent camp, Topaz Internment camp in Utah. In her presentation, she will cover the time from the initial executive order through internment, and her return to California after the war.
