Sunday, February 24, 2013 - Sunday, February 24, 2013
12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Cost: free

Sponsored by: National Park Service

Come and explore, through a variety of activities, how America's enslaved people managed to maintain African traditions despite harsh and violent efforts to silence these cultural practices. We will also look at how African traditions have survived and blended into American culture through the resilient practices of the African Americans. Storytelling, music, discussion, and hands-on activities will be used to help us understandthese topics.
