On February 16th, Tim Phelps, correspondent with the LA Times and Peter Wilson, senior adjunct to the RAND Corporation, will debate the pros and cons of the Obama Administration's current policy of "targeted killings."
Phelps and Wilson will explore the moral, political and strategic implications of this new American "Way of War." Rev. Nancy McDonald Ladd will serve as the debate's host and moderator. Phelps and Wilson will also discuss the methods and the future of these killings by the United States and other nations and non-nations. The debate will highlight the use of drones to carry out these "low footprint' military operations and discuss the Unitarian Universalist viewpoint of this emerging new American warfare.
