Topic: Efforts by the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau to better reach the underserved, such as non-English speaking, low income, seniors, children, those in rural areas, and the disabled. The speaker, Roger L Goldblatt, Senior Advisor for Policy and Outreach of the Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau has interesting insights and stories to share about when he was Director of outreach during the nationwide switchover from analog to digital transmission. As former Special Assistant to the White House Advisor on Consumer Affairs, Mr. Goldblatt has lived through major technology changes which raise difficult and controversial issues about the rules which should and should not govern the communication challenges.
